Arkansas Wedding Photography

Katie and Shane are the sweetest, most relaxed bride and groom you could imagine. Their entire day was full of laughs, love and joy.

When we arrived at their family home location, Katie and Shane were getting ready to see one another for the first time.

I asked Katie to share how she and Shane met.

"We have known each other for about 25 years. His sister and I were best friends in grade school and we became friends when I was in high school. We lost touch with each other when he went into the army. His uncle actually lived across from were I lived/grew up and we reconnected a little over 2 years ago and became friends again. We both had our lives and he was stationed in Oklahoma and was scheduled to go to Korea in about a year. We finally realized how happy we made each other and nothing was going to keep us apart. We dated long distance for a year and he asked me to marry him in front of our kids and family. He left for Korea a couple of months later and I visited him but the distance just brought us closer together. I knew he was the one for a lot of reasons but the two main ones were our kids. He treated my little boy like his own and Carsten loved him and was so happy around him. And his daughter loved me and fell in love with her"

Katie and Shane were officially husband and wife. The joy across their face as they danced at their first dance melted my heart. They're just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside, and their love for one another radiates off of them in their images.

Katie and Shane-- Thank you so much for the kindness you showed to us during your Big Day, and just for being awesome people! I am so glad you choose me to document this special time in your lives. I wish you the very best in all that you do.
